Girls Inc. High School Leadership Program

ECHO is a leadership/mentoring program for high school sophomore and junior participants. The program is designed to encourage these girls to pursue post-secondary education and plan for future careers. The sessions are designed to inspire them to value themselves and their dreams, to develop an action plan to achieve their goals, and to begin seeing themselves as leaders.

ECHO is a year-long program that includes:

  • Learning how to plan for the future
  • Learning about women’s health
  • Meeting women of different careers
  • Motivating them to get involved in their community/school
  • Visiting the state capitol and college campuses

What Our Graduates Have to Say:

“I learned that you have a voice in your community. Just because you are a teenager doesn’t mean you don’t have a voice.”
“I became more outgoing, driven, and confident that I’ll go to college next year, and I’m more focused on school than I used to be.”
“I like the hands on experience. Instead of reading about college, you get to go there.”
